County Fights Teen Drinking in Prom Season
May is declared "Parents Who Host Lose the Most Month"

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is urging parents not to give their teens alcohol — especially important now that it’s high school prom and graduation season.
In partnership with the Unified Prevention Coalition (UPC) of Fairfax County, the board has proclaimed May “Parents Who Host Lose the Most” month in the region. Together, they are making a concerted effort to educate parents and their teens about the effects and health risks of teen drinking.

Fairfax Group Receives Grant to Prevent Underage and Binge Drinking
A community based organization in Fairfax County that works to combat underage and binge drinking just received a major grant.
On Wednesday, the United Prevention Coalition announced an annual $200,000 grant for its program. The money comes from the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

WASHINGTON - Cheff Geoff's claims to have "The Best Happy Hour" in D.C. and Chevy Chase.
